  Parent Commitment
The involvement of the parents with the program and activities of the school is central to the success of Covenant Christian School (CCS). The tuition alone cannot cover all the actual needs of the school.

There are a variety of ways that parents can lend their support and demonstrate their appreciation for their school. Below are described several avenues of volunteer service. It is hoped that all of our parents will consider one or more of these opportunities to help the school. Ins so doing, parents can fulfill the biblical exhortation to be generous towards those who serve them and their families, especially to those individuals and institutions who nurture and teach. In this way they will also help to insure a better program for their children and for future generations.

Prayer and Encouragement

The continued blessing from God that Covenant receives is a direct result of the prayers of the families and friends of the school. Teachers and staff are encouraged, students' lives are changed, and the overall program of CCHS is strengthened when people pray for us. In addition, the thoughtful and encouraging remarks made or notes sent to the teachers are sincerely appreciated. Many individuals are involved in the nurture of a student through out the day, and an expression of thanks or appreciation to them is a real encouragement.

Special Orientation and Workshops
Early in the year parents are encouraged to attend the parent orientation. Here they will be given a general overview of the school and the new school year. They will also meet the teachers and learn from them what their student expectations are. Through out the school year special parent workshops may be scheduled to meet a variety of perceived needs or for the general edification of the school families. Parents will want to take advantage of these opportunities for fellowship and growth.

Student Activities

Many school sponsored student activities are planned thought out the year. Some of these are sports activities. Others are ACSI district events planned in connection with other Christian schools. Frequently, class field trips are conducted. All of these require parent sponsoring and transportation. It is hoped that parents will willingly volunteer for such opportunities as needed.

Classroom Assistance

Periodically parent help is needed within the classrooms. Many of our parents have contributions to share with a class that relates to their vocation, experience, or academic training. Sometimes a volunteer substitute is needed for part or all of a day. There are many ways parents may help a class or teacher, both formally and informally. All are eagerly welcomed.

Workday Volunteerism
Two major weekdays are planned, usually in the fall and in the spring. There are always a great variety of jobs requiring the skill and labor of school parents. Through the school there are many other projects requiring assistance. Parents may inquire in the office concerning how they may help with these as well.

Fundraising and Donor Support

Another important opportunity for parent support is in the general area of raising funds for the school. Like most other Christian schools, Covenant does not operate its program on tuition alone. It is also dependant upon the additional funds it raises through projects and donor support. All parents should consider supporting Covenant through donations in addition to their volunteer service. Thousands of dollars are raised each year through generous volunteer help of many of our parents and friends who also contribute throughout their financial gifts. This is a significant opportunity whereby parents may directly help in providing for the quality program they want for their children at CCHS in addition to having a part in keeping their tuition increases to a minimum.
